Shipping Information

Shipping – Domestic Orders.

(a) Olde Towne Cutlery does not guarantee shipping times, although we will try to stay within the time indicated during your checkout. Delays may occur for reasons such as, but not limited to, product unavailability, declined payment, customer verification, legal prohibitions, restricted items, and/or acts of God.

(b) Olde Towne Cutlery does NOT require a delivery signature on the products shipped. However, if you would like your order shipped with “signature required”, simply indicate this during checkout in the space provided. Once product has been shipped and a tracking number generated, the receipt of the goods is the customers responsibility. Should a dispute arise with the carrier, we will negotiate on behalf of the consumer to resolve the dispute.

(c) Olde Towne Cutlery will cover shipping for MOST orders when the purchase is $99 or more (customer is still responsible for taxes on the order). Some items may be considered oversized/overweight, which may result in an added shipping charge (this will be noted at checkout, if it pertains). Additionally, some product lines with extremely low margins may have shipping added separately, regardless of dollar value, as do consigned items sold for customers. All international orders are subject to shipping charges. Olde Towne Cutlery will use the United States Postal Office or UPS, at our discretion. If your order is less than $99, then you are responsible for shipping charges. If you wish to purchase additional insurance or quicker shipping, you are responsible for the cost associated. Automatic and OTF knives cannot be shipped through the USPS, and must therefore, ship through UPS. There will be an additional $9.95 added for shipping automatic and OTF knives.

(d) Please note: Due to certain legal restrictions within the United States, Olde Towne Cutlery reserves the right to refuse sales of some products in certain states (e.g. automatic knives, defense sprays, bear claws, knuckles, etc.). These areas may include, but are not limited to: parts of Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. Exceptions are made as local laws permit (ID may be required/verified at the time of purchase).

(e) Address Verification. If Olde Towne Cutlery is unable to confirm an address due to validity or suspected fraud, we reserve the right to cancel your order. We are not held responsible for a shipment delay due to any problems that may arise out of address verification. If the ship to address is not authorized or deemed as undeliverable (an address not provided correctly at checkout) Olde Towne Cutlery is not responsible and the customer will be responsible for incurred shipping charges.

In the case of vintage product, the NKCA grade must still be applicable. (e.g. if you sharpen a mint 1936 Case Whittler and reduce the grade the by hundreds of dollars… well… don’t sharpen a mint 1936 Case Whittler please!) There are some items that are considered final sales, (such as automatics, OTF, razors, razor blades, shaving cream, vintage and consignment) and cannot be returned. There will be a 15% restocking fee for returns on custom knives. Due to the high demand of GEC knives, there will also be a 15% restocking fee on all returns. You are responsible for shipping the item back to us in the same brand new, unused condition, complete with original manufacturers packaging, and you are responsible for the shipping cost, as we do not reimburse shipping costs. Once we receive the item, we will issue a refund to you for the amount of the purchase. Unless we have been notified of a different reason for the return payment, we will issue the credit back to the original card the transaction was placed through. If Olde Towne Cutlery is responsible for an error on the product shipped, we will send a pre-paid label, at our cost, to return the item purchased. We strongly recommend you insure any package being returned to us. Olde Towne Cutlery cannot be held liable if your return is damaged in shipping, lost, or destroyed.
