LT Wright Handcrafted Knives

We are proud to have a new addition to our brands, LT Wright Handcrafted Knives. We had the privilege of meeting L.T. and his team at the 2019 Blade Show. We admired the amount of passion, quality and hard work that L.T. puts into each and every pattern. We look forward to a wonderful future working with L.T. and his team.

L.T. Wright has been interested in knives since a very young age. He made his father a kit knife one year for Christmas. When his father showed off the work, L.T. started getting orders! With the money L.T. made he bought his first grinder from R.W. Wilson. Along with the purchase, R.W. taught L.T. how to make and sell knives.

L.T. took knives to shows and began buying better machines and materials with the proceeds. He then decided to take a leap and makes knives full-time, quitting his job at a stair shop. L.T. built his own website, was active in the forums and attended shows. With this knowledge he gained a following and a fantastic customer base.

L.T. has a team of knifemakers he works with at their Ohio location. He oversees and takes pride in each member and assists them in their knife making abilities. L.T. wants each member to become a better knifemaker than him. He says, “This is not just a job, it is a lifestyle.”

There is a building on L.T.’s property, which has become known as the Pout House. L.T. has heard many stories here, from the time he was a little boy, sitting around the fire. The Pout House is where he goes to look for inspiration from his family members before him. This inspires L.T. to continue to make tools for generation to come.
