Georgia Bushcraft 2020 Watkinsville November-6-8

We had an absolute blast at the Georgia Bushcraft 2020 Gathering in Watkinsville, Georgia this past weekend. There was definitely mayhem and debauchery, but the highlights of the weekend were as follows:

Dennis Sprinkle and his amazing telescope get my vote for the guy who has taken a passion to the most extreme level of OCD. We were able to see the rings of Saturn, nebulas, other solar systems… I mean, it was incredible. And he projected the images on the side of his van, so it was available for everyone to see. I was in awe…

Here is Dennis in front of his nerd-mobile as he calls it.

Another really cool sponsor was James Alexander of Harden Hill Honey. Like Dennis, he has taken his knowledge and passion to the extreme. His knowledge on all things BEE is stupendous. I could have listened for days straight. Bees are simply-put; astoundingly interesting creatures. And the honey… holy cow.

Chillaxin…

Making a fire!

and it runs!!

We were next to Wheelis Knives. They were cool. Check them out here.

And I didn’t get a photo of the band that played Friday night, but they were incredible. If you’re in the Athens area and want to see a great band, check out these guys. click picture

We had an absolute blast and can’t wait till next year.
